About Me

Well, for those of you remotely interested, and otherwise unaware about my identity, my name is Danielle, and I'm a student at the fabulous University of Southern California.  At USC I'm a print journalism major, and also a member of the Alpha Chi Omega sorority.

Los Angeles is, of course, a fun and interesting city, and would seem more than the hour drive away from my hometown of Camarillo with all the differences between the two.  The contrast, however, is nice.  When I'm sick of actually having fun, partying it up in South Central, I can always count on home to afford me the all the relaxations of Real World reruns and stale potato chips.  But no, home is great, because I get to see my family, which is completely worth forgoing a few nights of the 9-0, and sometimes entirely necessary to combat the insanity of my classes (uh, reporting anyone?).  Besides, while I should simply avoid the tourist trappings of the Outlets, I just can't, though I would NEVER subject myself to the madness of the weekends.  A nice stroll through Bebe and Gap on a sunny Tuesday afternoon, however, is entirely pleasant, or at least until the credit card bill comes.  So I reckon 'ole C-Town isn't too bad....just don't expect too much nightlife after 10pm.

Not that I've ever lived anywhere terribly exciting, besides L.A.....at least that I remember.  I was born in Blaine, Minnesota and before I was in first grade, I had lived in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Newbury Park, CA.  Then I moved to Moorpark, where I lived until the big move to Camarillo in 8th grade.  Not that this list of places is exciting, but, hell, its a a mini-bio, so I guess I'm kinda just following standard procedure.

Speaking of which, this would be the opportune time to list my hobbies and interests.  Ha ha.  Well, I obviously enjoy writing, and if I can stick to that claim after enduring the Newswriting modules of last semester and the reporting ones that continually afflict me this semester, I guess that's a good thing.  I thoroughly enjoy my major, because it involves writing (you wouldn't know it though if you witnessed me toting my DV camera, tripod, and microphones all over Glendale for damn Broadcast ).  Anyway, I also really love taking film classes, esp at SC.  I plan on applying for a cinema/television minor, and maybe one day I could even write film reviews for some entertainment magazine.  Yeah, well, writing for a magazine in general is the ultimate goal.  Who knows when or how it will be achieved, but it's definitely a dream of mine.

Other then these journalistic endeavours, I like to play guitar, and also enjoy playing tennis, though I haven't had the chance to in a while because of a recent broken ankle incident.  Ten screws and a metal plate later, I've gotten back to the fun, important things like working out at the Lyons Center and dancing on tables at Margerita Jones.

BECAUSE NO ONE'S STORY IS COMPLETE YET.... (or I'm just lazy)
