Dear Diary,
So, it's been a while...now I'm immersed in finals, counting down the days (3!) til my summer freedom.  I'll just bypass all the bitchin and complaining about having one final and two reporting final projects left, and get to the good stuff.  SO, Friday was formal.  It was on a boat.  People got kicked off the boat.  Girls cried.  Boys got belligerent.  People hooked up in buses.  People puked on each other.  I laughed and spent way too much money on beverages.  It was the typical invite experience.
My date was a guy on the hockey team.  Very cute, nice, and respectable.  From Minnesota, a major plus.  Also willing to get up and do the chicken dance at Tokyo Delves (the restaurant we went to beforehand), go shot for shot of PRESTIGE with me and carry around/drink out of water bottles full of champagne- major pluses as well.  Only issue: he's a little shy, like on the phone when he called me the next day.  So, we'll see what happens with that little saga...
But, yeah, the invite was ALMOST as dramatic as the last one.  Sadly, this time I didn't have any Georgia beauty pageant-wannabe compulsive liars ditching her gay date to make out with mine, so that was a little odd.  It was raining, which was so fun, especially for the girls who spent so much time/money on their hair.  I was really pissed that my 5 minute concoction was destroyed by the rain (ha, right, if anything, rainwater was a vast improvement).  Anyway, those that were already emotional about the hair/makeup/dresses/alcohol content in their bloodstream, or any combo of the four were further distressed at the announcement we were 50 people over capacity and couldn't leave harbor until the offenders were hauled off.  Of course, there were no offenders, if you don't count the girl in our house who of course, planned the event.
So Leah, Liz B. and their dates were kicked off and had to continue the party elswhere.  The rest of the night was fun- uh, so I'm told.  No, I wasn't that bad, though you couldn't tell from looking at the pictures...
Anyway, in exactly a week I'll be starting my internship at Brentwood Magazine, so any of y'all Angelenos best let me start crashing for a while when I need to wait out the rush hour traffic.  I'll be back here every Tuesday and Thursday.  In the interim it's dear ole' C-Town.  Rosh and I are hoping we can score a job (crossing our fingers for Juice Stop!) and we also have grand plans for trips to San Diego, TJ, Las Vegas, SB...we'll see which of those actually comes to fruition.  In the meantime, I'm out to study astronomy.  Later.
